Stand-Up

Day 210 (156) – Lay Z

It’s amazing how lazy we’ve become as humans.  I think since the advent of the remote control, it’s really gone down hill, because the remote taught us that if we do a little extra work up front (spending 5 minutes searching for the remote), it can save us from having to do any later (sitting in front of the TV for 4 hours).  And don’t worry, I include myself in that assessment.

For example, I don’t really cuss – until I realize that I have to do some type of work.  Like if I stub my toe – “Gee golly, mother frick.”  If I forget my cell phone and have to go “all the back” into my room – “mother [bleep]ing [bleep]-balls.”  I’m even lazy in video games.  Like in Halo, I won’t attempt to get a flag if it seems like to much work.

But through being lazy, I have discovered some super powers though.  Like I have this amazing ability for telekineses.  If I just point at something and go “ehhhh, ehhhhhhhhhhh” long enough, someone will eventually get up and get it for me.  It’s truly fantastic.  Also, whenever I walk into a store, the doors automatically open for me when I get close.

I do think there should be limits to laziness though – as in whenever it affects me (such as on the elevator).  And I’m not saying the world revolves around me, I’m just saying it should, because it would really make things a lot easier. At least I’m not like one of my friends who is so lazy that he doesn’t even date people, because “it’s too much effort.”  That’s not lazy, that’s “Lay Z.”
