Ok, so this proved more challenging than I thought. The problem is that I usually get over-ambitious as to how much I can do in a day, and I don’t account for interuptions or urgent matters, and therefore let things slide. This week wasn’t an option, so it resulted in me staying at work longer than I had planned most of the days.
It was good to get into the discipline of only putting things on my task list that I HAD to get done. I kept another list of things I’d LIKE to get done, but they weren’t as important. And creating a daily for each day also helped with my focus. I was able to get a lot done for various projects (including some improvements to this site), and still have time to relax a little.
Overall, in the past week, I completed 78 tasks, ranging from things like “Post ‘$100 Article on Site’” to “Pick up laundry.” Not a bad week.
